After eating breakfast, we loaded up the car to drop my dad and Jared off in Atcham, near Shrewsbury. The plan was to pick them up around 1pm from Ironbridge so he could take some of the others out with him.
We found the perfect spot to drop them off, so after fitting the seats, they carried the boat down to the river. It's pretty cold today;
It's a really pretty spot. The hope was that they would be back at 1pm so Jared would have the kids so i could go with mum shopping. They didn't realise how long it would take to do the route, so instead of thinking 2 hours, it took over 4! Gutting! They ended up doing 10 miles in the boat and when we picked them up, they were tired and hungry. They weren't clear on where they were, so it took a little while to find them. It was Jared who spotted the car and came to find mum and I;
As we lifted the boat onto the car, it knocked the roof rack removing it from the car. Disaster! Mum went in to the museum and asked if they could tell us where the nearest garage was - thankfully we got it sorted at a garage that was just across the road. Although i'm not impressed with how the bars have endured - they are less than a month old! For a moment i felt some real panic with getting the kayak back home. The men at the garage were so kind to us too.
When we got back, Jared had Ethan while mum took me to the shopping centre to look in Primark. I bought a load of clothes for Lills, ready for 3-6 months as she is growing so fast. Spent more than i planned to too. Mum bought some Thorntons for us both and i got some tiny little slides to go in Lill's hair, along with some Christmas bits. I love it!
Because of the faffing with the kayak and delays in getting back, mum said she would order some pizza for tea. I love fast food! And i love pizza! We all chilled out together. Rachel had Cameron and Kendal over while she chatted to her boyfriend Dennis on the laptop. I even got to say hello! Haha.
It was a good day today, despite the tedious roof rack.
