It's snowy!

I was woken up super early by Lily wanting milkies, so i just got up with the kids. It's so hard to fight that tiredness in the morning, yet every evening i stay up far too late! I tried to give Lily some breakfast, but she wouldn't have any of it. As usual.

Jared stayed home as he was so tired. He said he couldn't get to sleep until after 3am! So much for planning to go to the Temple together..

I took Ethan to his speech and language class and was the usual 5 minutes late. Getting two kids ready and myself is hard! I didn't even brush my hair. Gross! It went really well, especially as he is getting his attention span bigger. I felt quite proud of myself with doing all the table top activities with him.

When we got home, we played a bit more at the table before i had to clean up a bit. I dropped him at school before going to get some shopping. Poor Lily was ready for a sleep. She is so cute with all her little noises. As soon as i got in, i took her straight to bed and got on with unpacking. I only had about 10 minutes before going to get Ethan. He came out of school crying, asking for a bigger sticker! Aww! I took him home for us to all go sledging with daddy;

When we got home, we all warmed up, had some dinner while Jared went to his ECDL course. Got the kids to bed before watching some Scrubs and slowly losing motivation to exercise. When Jared came home we played a game of 'Forbidden Island', which was class. We lost!

Bed time!

Just a quicky tonight - i am so tired and i want to go to bed!

Kids got up early, i found Ethan was in beside us again. Lily woke at 3am looking for milk and again at 6.30am. I would love that lushy baby to go through the night now! Jared left for his placement as i was getting the kids breakfast. Lily wouldn't touch her Weetabix.

I got them both washed and dressed and out the door for about 9.30 to get some bits from the retail park. I have to say, Ethan is so good when shopping. In fact, he wants to buy certain things for other kids! So cute! I bought him some more pants in a bigger size and he was so chuffed. I got some bits for Eve's baby boy and Sarah's baby girl as well as some vests and baby gro's for Lily.

When i got in i popped a movie on for Ethan while i got on with photographing eBay stuff. The longer i leave it, the more it's irritating me. Yes i have stuff to tidy and clean, the bathroom is disgusting, but i figured that if i can get rid of the ebay stuff, it won't come back to haunt me, as cleaning is always going to be there. Lily didn't sleep long at all. I did the school run and dropped some cards off at my visiting teaching ladies- i didn't have time to visit this month.

After getting Ethan from school i dropped of the Exante diet packs to Pauline - she will do 2 weeks and Jared 2 weeks. I just don't want to risk losing my milk. I love breastfeeding and i would never forgive myself if it did mess up. It's such a satisfying thing to do.

After dinner i cleaned up, finished photographing the main bulk of ebay before working out, getting washed and watching some hairstyling things on youtube. My styling of hair is naff, it's time i sorted it out! Ethan came into the bathroom while i was in the bath, asking to get in. He was totally sleepwalking! Haha!

Anyway, bed time. Another day tomorrow with the kids - we are going swimming! :)

Back home.

Lily woke up quite early this morning, so i took her into my mum's room who took her downstairs so i could sleep. Well, Rachel and i started chatting before finally going to sleep!

Dad helped me get both kids ready and then had Lily so i could get myself all ready. I was in church just 5 minutes late! Wahoo! It was good too. Rachey came and sat by me while Ethan kept taunting another little boy called Ethan. He was putting his mobile phone in reach and then taking it away when the little boy reached out. Cheeky monkey!

Mum was in Shrewsbury today so when i got in i put a joint in the oven and made up a quick brownie. It was nice to spend time together, chilling out. I packed up all my bags and ended up taking more home than i brought. Lily has barely slept all day, the little monkey.

The journey home wasn't too bad, i did get a little emotional when we went past Jnct 4a on the M5. It's just so gutting. When i got in, it had started to snow so the roads were a little dangerous. Peter, Pauline and Sam were over too and we had our usual pancakes together before heading to bed. Life is good. God is good!

Back to another week!

Up at the crack of dawn again today, taking Ethan to his speech and language class. I've done a little on the work sheets, but not really enough to warrent any improvement. I tell you now Ethan Evans, your attention span is terrible! He wiggled, and stared into space, ignored questions..etc. You name it, he did it! It's frustrating to see as well as funny.


When i got him home, we did some table top activities, going through his 'why....because' worksheet and used a pairs game as a reward. Because i was up so early, i was so tired. Lily had gone down for a nap and so i took the opportunity to get Ethan on the sofa with a blanket and put on 'cloudy with a chance of meatball's'. It worked a treat as i got to snooze and he watched a film. I hate feeling so tired.

Jared is working from home today, so while i was asleep, he cleaned up a bit. After lunch it was a rush to school. I then went to Aldi with Lily to get some bits. I don't know what to do about weaning with Lily - she just doesn't want to eat anything. The monkey is getting too much milk! I also sorted out some telephoning jobs. Exciting!

I picked Ethan up while Lilsie stayed at home with Jared -she was out for the count anyway. I keep finding the pretend money from school in his pocket! I started dinner and after putting all the kids to bed i cleaned up, started on ebaying again and looked for a few odds and ends needed in the house.

And now i'm sat in bed, it's nearly 11pm and i'm wondering where the time has gone? So much for getting some me time! And now Lily has woken for a feed...

Riding the bike!

My blogging capabilities are just shocking. 4 days without doing one entry! Bah!

Today has been nice and easy. Jared took Ethan out this morning for a while so i could stay in with Lilsie. He also got up with the kids, even if it did mean him calling my name every 10 minutes for help. He got in the bath with both kids which was so cute.

When they got back, i finally was able to shower and get ready, in between watching some episodes of Scrubs, of course! We took Ethan to Cyfartha park to ride his bike. We don't know why, but Ethan has been so resistant in us taking his bike out anywhere, so Jared sneaked it into the car and brought it out when we got there. He loved it! As Lilsie had finally fallen asleep in the car, Jared took Ethan up to ride around the lake. They were gone for ages, and when they got back, Ethan was so happy with riding his bike! We stopped into Halfords to get some ice scrapers, smellies for the car and a key ring for Jared's car and then into Aldi to get some bits for tomorrow.

I started dinner and decided to make a start on cleaning the car. Ethan had puked in it a while back, only a little, and it was starting to gross me out. When i finally done that and came in the house, both kids were screaming! Clearly Lily wanted me and Ethan wanted to come outside but without a coat. It was so windy and cold, even wearing a coat was chilly! It's so nice to have a clean car, and as it's my car, it's nice and clean for me! Yey! Growing up in a big family, my car was never really that clean and i would feel a little embarrassed at how it was kept. All the smelly milk cups that were dropped on the floor didn't help either. Anyway, it's done now! Yey!

After tea, Jared cleaned up and worked out while i did some family history. It's so satisfying finding people. Peter and Pauline popped in on their way home to drop off the cards they have printed. I love it so much - the amount of cards i have to do now is enough for me to be getting on with. I would love to go to the Temple when the youth go to do baptisms, but I feel Lily is just too little to go there and back in a day.

I did plan to work out, but as Lily wouldn't settle down to bed and the veggies needed peeling, i didn't get round to it. I just hope the cookies i've eaten today decide to just slip right through. If not, i'm in trouble!

First proper day with the car!

As we got the second car back from the garage, this is my first full day with the car while Jared is on placement. It makes me so happy! I got up with the kids, got ready and took them out shopping. It could only be a light one as we are a little skint right now. Well, it turned into a little bit of an ordeal. I don't know what was up with Lily, but she cried and cried! She's so heavy for me to constantly carry, so i had to keep putting her down in intervals and she cried and cried! By the time i got to the checkout, i was exhausted. A nice man helped load my trolley onto the conveyer belt, and when it came to my turn to pack, i placed my bags in my trolley. The cashier told me it's not practical for me to pack my bags while she scans as i would take too long. No offence love, two screaming kids, a cold day and an empty stomach does make me exempt from having to repack everything at the car, all because you don't want to have to slow your pace down when throwing the stuff at me.

So i did that shop, and then a quick nip to Tesco where Ethan was so excited at the thought of getting a pack of stickers. He nearly lost the stickers because he was constantly trying to wake Lily up. He is so cheeky sometimes! Telling me 'no mummy!' when i do something he doesn't like.

When i got home, poor Lilsie had only had about half hour of sleep, so she was tetchy and grumpy. I quickly made some lunch and packed away the shopping before playing dominos with Ethan. He doesn't quite understand the rules with games. Everything is always 'mine'. He hogs the ones that have double pictures on, i don't know why. I hope he will understand soon!

He went into school happy and chirpy while i hurried home to make dinner and clean up a bit. Eve and Ben are coming for dinner tonight. I shoved the tagine together before trying to clean up before getting Ethan. I didn't get the house quite how i liked, but never mind. We had a lovely meal together, and they stayed till about 9pm. It was so nice to catch up and talk together. I know things have been hard recently, it was nice for them to just relax. Their baby boy should be with us very soon! So exciting!

By the time we cleaned up an sorted out downstairs, it was nearly 11pm. Bedtime!

Sunday = Pancakes.

Jared is away with Swansea ward conference so it's just me and the kids. I totally underestimated how long it takes to get the kids ready, so we were a little late at getting to church. Poor Lily was so tired, she finally fell asleep in my arms, then as i pushed the pram through the chapel doors, i caught her head and she started to scream! I felt so bad. After the meeting, Bishop Pullman came down and said to Rebecca that their son, Finbar, was the best behaved baby! Hahaha! Ethan is such a wiggle butt in church, he can't sit still for a minute.

After church, i headed over to Pauline's for Lunch. The boys were going to be back later, so we were going to have a lamb dinner that evening. They all went for a walk leaving me in the house - i managed to find two more family members on the 1841 census for the Rounds. Family history is to uplifting, i love it. It's nice to think that i am helping other people on the other side who can't help themselves.

We all went up to my house then for pancakes - i think it's going to have to become a tradition. Pancake Sunday. Thomas and Ellice popped up to see us too which was a lovely surprise. They stayed for a while and we chatted together and had a good laugh. Thomas is due to have his wisdom teeth out next week - owch! He's not long off going on a mission now. After they left, Peter, Pauline and Sam stayed for a little while and the debating kicked in over facebook. Jared hates it! When they left, we went straight to bed. Ethan has an appointment tomorrow at 8.50am with the Speech and Language Therapist. Early start for me!

I HAVE THE CARR!

Today i have the car - yippee! So i am going to be going here, there and everywhere to get all my errands done. I started with taking Jared to Cardiff for Uni, then stopping home to pick up my wallet and feed the kids before driving to the tip to get rid of our broken book shelf to then go and do some shopping at Tesco. When i was at the checkout, i didn't realise the time - it was 12.25pm.... Ethan was to be in school in half hour! So it as a mad dash home to unpack, feed Ethan and Lily, eat myself and drive back over to school. We were on time today, wahoo.

The house is a tip again as i just haven't had the time to clean up, so i make a start before having to head out to get Jared. I told him to meet me at Wilko's as i wanted to get some carpet cleaner for my new toy. I can't wait to use it! Anyway, i couldn't find him anywhere?! He was no where to be seen. I checked upstairs, downstairs, i waited at the front...about 15 minutes later he finally walks into the store all cross faced! He had gone to Tesco to see me. I don't know why men don't listen! JUST WAIT AT THE FRONT OF THE STORE! Baah! I bumped into Natalie too, who i used to work with in Tesco. It was nice talking to her!

Jared wanted to go to his mum's to watch MOtD so i run him up there, fed Lily then drove to get Ethan from school. I was given a letter for admission to school. When i enquired what it meant, it's for when Ethan goes full time. FULL TIME! I can't believe it! He will be full time in school from September?! My baby boy will be going all day! I won't know what to do with myself?! I'm not going to lie either, it will be quite nice too.

Anyway, i stopped to get fuel from the Esso garage - there is a guy there who is just so funny. One of the best 'people person' i have ever met. What a legend.

Pauline did us dinner tonight which was nice. Ethan was up to his usual tricks of moaning over food. We took the kids home soon after to get them to bed. Poor Lilsie hasn't had nearly enough naps as she needs today, so she zonked out just after 6pm so i skipped her bath. For the rest of the evening i tested out my new carpet shampooer which i LOVE. All those stains on the carpet that have been bugging me for ages have started to lift. I then worked out before coming to bed to do some study time with my babes. Tomorrow is going to be fun filled for all of us!

Loads of walking, i better have lost some weight!

I finally sorted out the house before doing the school run. It takes me that long to get re organised. I ordered a highchair for Lily a few days back and it came;

I love it! We left early to get to school and still managed to be late. I started with Lily in the buggy and Ethan by my side. By the time i got over the Wynch, i had Lily in my arms and Ethan in the pram. I tried to have Lily on Ethan's lap but it didn't work. Baby girl is getting heavy! I couldn't face walking back over while Lily cried, so i walked down to Rebecca Pulman's to say hey. She had visitors with her, so i walked on down to Emma Janes, who wasn't in. I caught the bus back up to Castle Park to start the walk again back to school half an hour later. If i could buy a little hut with a heater, TV and sofa next to the school, i would. That way i could just do the walking twice, rather than a potential four.

I walked back over with Lily in the carrier and started to walk home again when Jess Davies picked me up/ She saved my legs! Boy do they hurt now! When i got home, Ethan and i played trains before going to Sarah and Chais' for dinner. I couldn't build it right for him. Every time i placed a piece, he would break it up. He's so particular. Dinner at Sarah's was lovely - they did lasagne and wedgies. We couldn't stay too long as the kids needed bed.

Jared helped me get them ready before going to footy. I spent the evening catching up on my blogging, watching 'one born every minute' and talking to friends. Nice :)

It's cold and wet and rainy!

Seriously, the house is such a mess, i had to spend most of the morning sorting that out. It really isn't going to be a fun day.

I walked the kids over. It was raining, cold and miserable. I knew i should have got a double buggy! Fran kindly offered me a lift back home, and a lift back up to the school at finishing time. Wahoo! It's taken a massive weight off my shoulders of dealing with a screaming Lily.

After getting back, i started tea so it would be ready for when we got home. It was so tasty, and so easy. It was nice to get all the kids to bed - Jared was off out to a meeting. I cleaned up a but before going to bed. These type of days are my least favourite.

Mega busy!

Jared takes his day off today, and as the Pug is in the garage, this is my one day of having the car to get some things done! So i got up early with the kids and took Ethan to his second speech and language class. It's at 8.50am in the morning so it's early! Last class he would not talk at all, and when i woke him this morning, he was in such a bad mood. When we finally got there, he wouldn't talk. We think he thinks shes a doctor trying to give him medicine. He will even sit in the car and say 'i don't like banana medicine mummy!' randomly. I try to stifle my giggle. Anyway, he finally came out of his shell and started talking. He struggles with using the words on, under and besides. And i need to work on the word 'because' too, as he doesn't use it. When he went through the picture books, he kept referring to the items as ours. For example, if there were two houses, one was his and one was Lily's. He mentioned Philly a bit too. The speech therapist said she hasn't seen another child do that quite as much as Ethan. Haha!

Straight after that meeting, i had to get my eyesight tested, taking both the kids too. It didn't go too bad, although i don't know if the opticians appreciated having the kids there. Ethan wouldn't sit for a minute and Lily was getting a little restless.

Because of the smashed up bookcase, i stopped off at home to feed the kids before turning right around to go to Ikea to get a new bookcase. I went for one that was double the size of the smashed one. This way i can finally have a de cluttered bookcase downstairs! I bought that then rushed home to feed Ethan and get him to school. I spent the time building the bookcase (it took ages!) before getting Ethan, cooking tea and getting the kids to bed. Jared went to his ECDL course. The house is just a big mess from moving everything around, so i did a little bit of tidying before flopping into bed. I now face the next 3 days carless. Booooooooooo!

First Sunday at 10am.

This is our first Sunday at 10am again. It's going to take some adjustment to the new routine, but i am quite excited at having a Sunday afternoon again. Church was brilliant. It was testimony meeting and i was really touched by the people who got up, in particular Emma Jane, who spoke about heeding the warnings of the church. She compared it to when the tsunami struck in Japan and how people just leisurely walked about as the fire engines called out for people to evacuate immediately. Are we like that? Ethan was so good in Primary. For months and months he kept saying 'no Henry, no Henry!' and i couldn't work out what he was talking about until it hit me - PRIMARY! Hahahaha! We don't even know a Henry?! It's only now he is saying Primary. Hehe! He's in CTR class now.

We went to Peter and Pauline's for lunch which was nice. I'm making sure that we alternate on the cooking. Jared is mega excited as a good business opportunity has come up that he can work on after he has finished his dissertation. Wahoo!

After dinner, we all headed over to my house to change to go for a walk. I made a big batch of pancake mixture for dinner tonight. We went to an area just off the Breacon road, not really sure what it's called. It looks like a scout area which is being renivated. It was funny! Ethan played hide and seek with Jared and Sam, which went down a treat. Peter and i started to walk back to the car and had a moment. As we watched Pauline, Sam and Jared walk down the hill towards us, he said that as he looks at them together, it feels imcomplete. I couldn't help but feel emotional for him. I ache for Peter and Pauline, knowing that they are in so much pain.

When we got back, i cooked up the pancake mix and we sat together chatting. It was nice to have a good evening together!

Mixed bag.

Today started on such a fun note, taking the kids swimming in Cardiff. It was quite busy, but Lily and Ethan loved it! Peter came with us, Pauline and Sam stayed up too late to come with us. I love the pool, but find it incredibly noisy with all the water shoots and sprayers. I didn't stay too long as the water was freezing - i can't seem to find a pool that has warm water? - and Lily was due a feed. She is so placid, looking around her as we swim about. She didn't cry once!

After swimming we headed into town to get some walking boots for Peter. He got a nice pair, it's gutting that they didn't have one selection in my size as it would have been a steal! We then headed straight home to Peter and Paulines. Eleanor was planning to make a visit but had to take a reincheck as they took longer getting out than they thought. I was a little relieved as i was dead on my feet!

When we got back, Jared went to see Sam play, but turned out to be a waste of time. That's why i didn't want to go with him first time round, haha! I went shopping with Pauline where it seemed to be a Mormon day out. It was really busy too. I can't believe that they have started to put out the Easter things. All these Christian celebrations have just become retail targetting, a way to make money. I don't understand how you can be a non practicing Christian. Can i be a non practicing black person? No?! It's stupid! You're either committed or not.

We stayed for dinner before rushing back home. I wanted to get the kids into bed at a decent time. As we were putting Ethan down, the mirror door in his bedroom decided to fall and completely destroy my book case as well as smash! I am so gutted - it's going to cost a load to repair, if it can be. If not, it will probably be a heck of a lot. It kind of threw out our evening a bit, sending both Jared and i into negative moods. So i spent the rest of the evening feeling irritated, blogging and sat next to Jared as he played Zelda.

I think i'm going to bed! On the brightside, Church is in the morning tomorrow :)

Stupid glass mirror!;

Odds and Ends.

I have the car today, so it's a massive 'errands running' day! We slept in way after Jared's leaving time for the bus, so i drove him down and back. I picked up the packages that were delivered last week, took a massive bag of recycling to the dump which STANK to high heaven, dropped into treads to see the status of the car and drop the radio off (They are nice, but so slow with sorting anything out!) and i bought a mini radiator for Lilsie's room as it is so drafty in there and cold. When i lifted her last night, her little hands were freezing cold. No wonder she woke up!

When i done all that and got home, it was time for lunch and the run for school. Every single day now Ethan crys about having to go in to school, but as soon as he sees his friends, hes all excited. Little Monkey!

I had to pick Jared up from the bus station not long after - poor Lily had only just gone down for what was going to be a long sleep and i had to lift her.

Jared is going to Seminary tonight, so after he left at 6.20pm, i put the kids to bed and cleaned up, only to have Miss lily not settle all night! There goes my plan to work out! I read the book i made for Ethan about Lily, Philly and Ethan. It's got all the pictures of them in order with an explanation with what we were doing. I got quite choked at the end of reading. I still feel like it will come over me like an explosion, trying to get out. I miss that girl so much and i have to try and not wish my time away here. When i think of my kids and what life would be like for them if i wasn't around, it's horrible. I am so glad that we are all sealed together, for time and all eternity. That is a long time to put up with Jared! Haha.

I spent the evening putting all of the HeyTell messages onto the computer from the ipod using a dictaphone. It was so nice to listen to her voice again. There were parts that i had to hold my breath to stop myself from laughing. And of course when Lily was being noisy. She is so cute!

Adventure Land.

So i did it. This morning i got up before 8am and got the kids up. It was a killer and even now I'm suffering, but it has been worth it. The kids and i were all dressed before 9am and i had done all cleaning chores before 10am. I like getting up early!

Emma Jane picked us up to go to Adventure land, which was fun. Ethan and Maya play so well together. I felt a little dead though, especially as i had very little sleep. It was nice though to spend some time together. Tanya, our mutual friend was there too. Emma Jane kindly ran me to school, we were a little late - i am so rubbish at keeping track of time.


After dropping me at home, i had some lunch before falling asleep on the bed. I am so tired. I have started a new routine with the kids, so i fed Ethan at 4.45pm and put them both to bed at 7pm. Lily woke twice, fed and went back to sleep. Success! It's the first night i have had to myself for a while! So we worked out and watched some Doc Martin before going to bed. Trying to squeeze everything in with no car is so hard. So tomorrow i am off doing a million errands. Now time for sleepsie :)

Arrrrg! Stupid cold carless day!

Today has been a boring day. I just couldn't pull myself out of bed at all to get the kids up, so i slept until they woke up, starting this incredibly vicious circle all over again.

By the time we got up, washed and dressed and fed, we had to catch the bus into town to take Ethan to school. That took ages. After dropping him in (he wasn't too bad with the tears this time) i rushed to the bus stop to get the next one, only for it to drive right past me. The guy that i usually catch is really nice and helps me get the pram on, talks to me and just generally nice. The bus driver this time left too early, sat and read the paper and grumbled about having to get the pram on. It's so cold too! By the time i got home from school, it was after 2pm! It's a good job Peter and Pauline offered to get Ethan for me! I would have been straight out the door in 20 minutes.


Lily fell asleep so i took the opportunity to study. I've started to read the Old Testament this year and i managed to get a good half hour of study and make a soup for tea. Peter and Pauline stopped in for a bit after getting Ethan. She told me that when she got to the door of the school, Ethan came out saying, 'i've got cereal in my house, i have!' Hahahaha! Pauline went to see her class, leaving Peter here to play with Ethan. He was pretty somber today, i don't know if he was having a difficult day. Jared didn't take long to come home. We spent the evening doing different things - me cleaning up, trying to get Lily to sleep and watching One Born Every Minute. I'v started recording Philly's voice onto disc too. I didn't get to work out either, so i am going to bed tonight feeling fat. Jared had to study all evening. So now i'm sat in bed with a wide awake baby after 11pm. I have got to get them all up at 7am tomorrow, for my own sake!

 I just want to go to sleep :(

Lily, GO TO SLEEP!

Stupid Pug.

The weather today has been terrible. I could hear it beating the window through the night and the devastation seen on TV is so bad - two people have been killed from falling trees. I slept in again as both kiddies were up so much in the night! Tonight is the night Lily is going to go into her own bed!

After getting washed and dressed i drove to the local garage to check on our new Pug as it is blowing cold air. Bad news. There is a leak in one of the main water pipes caused by it rubbing against our newly fitting alternator belt. £103 repair. Boooooooo! I had a good chat with the lady who does the books there. She was a nice lady, cousin to Ann Pollard who works with Pauline. I am going to ring the seller to let him know. It took so long sorting the car that i had to call on Peter to come and take us to school, and i was 10 minutes late! I am hoping that this will be the end of troubles for a little while. I only want this car to last us 6 months so i can do the school run and other fun things with the kids. Ethan was crying when he realised where i was taking him - i didn't feel too bad, as I'd had a gutsful of dealing with his spitting and kicking furniture. Cheeky Monkey! Peter dropped me off home and i continued on with the usual jobs before calling out to Jenny Philips to give me a ride to school. She picked me up while i was walking. What an angel! She had a bad Christmas dealing with her in laws - i don't get what their problem is, but they have a problem. To the point of hurling abuse at her infront of the kids and cutting off the grandkids. They will regret it one day, and then it will alll be too late!

After getting home, i started writing up Lily's weaning plan, printed it off and laminated it to be on the fridge. I'm hoping that she will start to sleep for us with a bit more food in her tummy. At dinner she had some baby rice and a top up of rusk before going to bed. Jared and i both worked out before going to bed ourselves. I like having the house ready to deal with the rush of the morning, so i had all my jobs done. Pauline had a good day back at school i think, it went better than expected. Peter went back into work to see people for the first time since losing Philly. I know he was dreading it, but i think that went a well as it could have. It's such a sad time. I feel so much like i have started to live a different life and everything that i did before her death was a dream. I felt overwhelmed as i sat at the computer with no car, the rain tipping down with strong winds, house a mess and thinking of Philly. Sometimes i wish we knew more than we do about the next life, especially when your loved ones are waiting for you on the otherside.

Anyway, Jared and i are going to have some scripture study together before it gets too late.

Getting ready for a new year! Woohoo!

I haven't blogged for ages and i feel bad for it! I will catch up though, so watch this space. I slept in for ages this morning. In fact, i felt like i was in a coma. Lily and i didn't wake up till gone 10.30am. Getting in so late last night and not getting to sleep till after 1am two nights on the trot was a killer! Anyway, Jared was so lush he got up with Ethan and did some cleaning jobs for me. When i did finally get up, i got the kids ready and unpacked the mass of stuff from our visit in Cardigan/Telford.

Jared decided to go and work out at his parents while i did the food shopping. There was nothing to eat in the house! I got on the scales too as the diet has started today - i thankfully have only gained about 2lbs. I am determined to get it all off before the end of March. Anyway, i took the kids food shopping and it wasn't too bad. Lily wanted to be held and seeing as she is over a stone now, she is getting heavy! Ethan kept trying to squeeze her hand, perhaps a bit too hard.

When i got home, I unpacked the shopping, made the kids lunch and fed myself (it's gone 2pm and i haven't eaten anything yet!) and Jared comes home. The rest of the day is spent getting ready for tomorrow! Unpacking, tidying, doing the washing..etc. While at dinner, i tried to get Ethan to eat some food. I had made a stir fry and he was adamant that he wasn't going to eat any of it. I pull out a small pack of love hearts and offer him some if he eats some. He was instantly into the food! He is so funny! I gave Lilsie some swede for the first time but i think it was too strong of a taste as she wouldn't eat it. She gobbled up her rusk though!

Peter and Pauline popped in after dinner to say hello. Pauline told me a few people had said that she would have a better year this year, like Philly's passing was easy to leave behind. People are well meaning, but annoying! I feel so much ache for them, knowing the daily struggle they are having to face. They didn't have a good start to the day at all.

I worked out on the treadmill for 30 minutes and while i was in the shower, Sam and his friend popped in to see Jared. I missed them by 2 minutes! It's a good job they didn't come while i was working out ( i tend to do it in my underwear) and that would have been embarrassing! Jared and i didn't spend too much time watching TV before heading to bed. There are so many things i want to fit into my day now that i feel like i have to squeeze so much in.
