Family Visit.

It's a Sunday! The clocks went back last night so we gained a lovely extra hour. Do you think we were on time for church? NO! Haha! We were late! I forgot it was the 5th Sunday too so had no where to sit in the Relief room. It wasn't long before my turn to go into nursery before going into sacrament. Church went really quick today! I had put on some chicken and potato on a low heat in the oven ready for when we got in - unfortunately it still wasn't ready, much to Jared's displeasure. Haha.

After dinner Jared and I were dead and ended up collapsing on the sofa for a few hours. Little Ethan was running around wanting us to do different things for him - No rest for the wicked! Ethan helped me whip up some cakes to take to Cheryl and Geriant's. I put fudge in each one this time and it turned out really nice - it was like eating toffee. We spent a few hours up there, chatting and munching some pudding together. Eve, Marian, Rhian and Ben were there too.

The house always gets a mess on a Sunday, especially if we are running late and i haven't decided on what to wear that day - i spend an hour re hanging skirts and tops and packing away make up. We got the house nice and tidy just in time for Peter, Pauline and Sam to drop in. They were planning on coming for FHE tomorrow but got back at a reasonable hour to come over tonight. They have visited all the mission areas that Sam had served in over the half term and were absolutely shattered! It was great to see them all and catch up. Peter always has me in histerics when he brings up Pauline's 'golden hour'. She watches Home and Away every week day, between 6-7, much to Peter's distaste. Oh it's so funny!

We watched a Fringe before heading to bed. Another Monday and Ethan and i are going to Techniquest :)

Trunk or Treat!

It's family day today with Trunk or Treat tonight! We all had a lovely lie in before getting ready for the day. It's so nice to not rush everywhere - Jared's lie in's are so precious. I got up with Ethan to make him breakfast and put on the Milkshake breakfast show on channel 5. I sneaked back upstairs to have some more cuddles with Jared. Since starting his course, our time together has been very sparce. I look forward to the day when he just works 9 to 5!

After we all got ready and had some breakfast we went to the Cyfartha Park for a few hours. It was FREEZING! We could only hack it for 2 hours - our hands just too cold, even Ethan was complaining. But we all had fun together.

My original plan for Trunk or Treat was just to go, but with 4 hours to go i really felt i should do one. So we all went to Asda to see what was left. It was horrible! You could barely get down the isle!? So i just grabbed some bones, skeleton's and bats to hang from the car, and of course the sweets.

A quick stop at home before going down the chapel to start setting up. There wasn't as good a turnout as last year - The panto has kept alot of the member busy. Overall there were about 10 cars doing a trunk including myself, so not too bad. By 7pm everyone was packing away because it started to rain, gutting! I didn't mind so much, after an hour i was ready to go!

Here is Ethan modelling his little outfit. I couldn't get him in it all week but as soon as he saw Jesse dressed up a superman, he was more than happy to get involved. I ended up having to stitch it together as the velcro wouldn't stick;

This one is mine. The kids had to put there hand in the two end boxes before getting a treat. I had witches hair (noodles) and eyes (pickled onions) for them to feel. A few wouldn't do it, it was a little to scarey for them;

David and Sian always go all out for their trunk - i'm gutted that i didn't get a turn!;





The Sister Missionaries set up a stall next to us where you throw the ball to knock the tin's over. Ethan wouldn't leave it alone. It was so funny to watch, he got really frustrated when it was someone else's turn;

















I do feel bad that it wasn't as good as last year. Since having trouble with my pregnancies, i totally lost my focus on my calling. I'm trying to get back in it but find it really hard. I'm terrible for comparing myself to others. Saddies.

After we got home i nipped to Tesco to get a treat for Jared and I. We had skipped dinner because of the rush, so i bought a pizza and shloer with a custard tart for pudding. I bought one of the the 'takeout' pizzas, comparable with dominos. It was yummy but not quite like takeout. Bit of Fringe then bed.

Bit of a boring day.

Today has been such a boring day. Ethan and i really haven't done anything - just played and watched movies. Jared was home until 1pm but had to study, so Ethan and i had to keep out of the way. I did some blogging before Jared took the laptop for the afternoon, i'm so behind. I don't know why i let it build up as i forget things so quickly. Boo :(

Ethan some how stood on some glass and cut his foot, hence the plaster. Daddy and Ethan have some cuddles;

Jared is having a day off from studying tomorrow so we will have a fun family day. Squeezed in a few Fringes too!

I love having the car! FREEDOM!

I only learnt this morning that Jared isn't on placement this week so i get the car for an extra day. Yippeeee! All i had to do was take him to the bus station instead of losing the car for the whole day. I wanted to check out the Littlewoods Clearance again to do a proper search. So i packed a bag of crisps, got Ethan into the car, packed up my little pram and went. I bought so much more stuff too, Fearne Cotton Jeans, a couple of dresses, skirts and tops. I love it! Generally within 3 months I've sold everything and made a fair bit of money. All my Christmas present's so far have been bought out of my ebay money. I definately recommend it if you are buying something really cheap and it's a well known brand. The jeans i bought (pictured below) were bid on within 2 hours of me putting it up. Loves it!


I was able to carry the little pram up the stairs, so no fussing from the 'ealth and safety inspector. Esme and Cassie were planning on going to the Outlet in Ebbw Vale so i was going to meet them there - unfortunatly i over estimated Ethan's tolerance level of sitting in the pram so i wasn't able to meet with the Wheelies. I did manage to find another few bargains to sell :) And i bought a Christmas present for Jared. So all in all, a good day!

I got dinner on before I picked Jared up so i could get on with ebaying. It took the whole night to get everything i bought up on ebay. Jared was good to just let me get on with it while he took care of Ethan. It was nearing 9.30 by the time i finished so just enough time to work out before bed.

Unexpected bargains! LOVES IT!

I have a mega busy day ahead of me. It's one of those days where i have to make a list for everything i have to do! Manic! I dropped Jared off at the bus station and came home to finish getting ready for the day. After all that, Ethan and i went into town.

I had to get Jared some stationary for his Uni first from Tesco (Everyday i have a task from him!) and then took Ethan to get his hair cut. I usually go to John Headington's shop as i like the walk in style - i am rubbish for booking ahead. Ethan HATES having his haircut but i must say he did considerably better than last time. It wasn't till the very end that i had to hold his hands and head. I love it when his hair is freshly cut, look how handsome he is;


As we came from the shop Ethan was sobbing. I haven't even taken him to the dentist yet - what will he be like for that?! I had some eBay packages to drop off so i did them at the post office. It feels like it's never ending! I hate it when a person doesn't pay for ages resulting in several trips to the post office. I always have a pang of worry when I'm paying for it to be sent, thinking, 'are they going to leave me negative?' I have got my feedback score to 442 with only 1 neutral which eBay withdrew. I wonder who will be the buyer to ruin that? Anyway..

I bought Ethan a little bag of sweets for being a good boy in the hairdressers while i bought a quarter of lemon bon bons. Let's just say the little bag of sweets were not touched! Cheeky Ethan wanted mine! As we were walking back to the car i noticed that Littlewoods Clearance store were doing a big sale on the first floor. They don't have a lift in the store and i had Ethan in the pram so i asked an assistant if i could leave it at the foot of the stairs while i had a look. It was like she was doing a health and safety examination?! She ummed and arred for a good 2 minutes! Flip woman! IT'S A PRAM! Thankfully i was granted special permissions..phew. When i got upstairs i couldn't believe the prices. Everything was £2! I didn't really have much chance to go through the rails as Ethan was loose so i only picked up a few items, vowing to come back tomorrow with the small pram.

When we got back to the car i nipped home and put what i had bought straight on ebay then drove to the Littlewoods Clearance next door to Morrisons in Ebbw Vale to check their deals. Bit of a waste as i only came away with one dress and the woman behind the desk moved at a glacial pace. And half way to getting there, Jared called to say he was at Merthyr Bus Station. Gutting! I need to befriend a person in each store and get them to text me when a killer deal comes in OR make someone i know work there. Haha. I had to hurry back for Jared - he had been waiting a while and wasn't too happy. Sorry babes!

When we got home i had to get dinner on before heading down the Church for the Missionary meeting. I couldn't find them any where in the building and just as i was about to leave, I saw Eldo who pointed me in the right direction. Good job too, better late than never! Glen was trying to make a movie to be handed out during the Panto week and asked me to be in it. I had to say no - i hate being on camera! On the way home i popped into Esme's to say hello the Cassie Wattsian! I stayed for a bit. Man i love those girls. I feel like when we are together it's like I'm 17 again, they had me in proper full on stitches. Hahahaha! I couldn't stay long because Jared has football to go to.

Busy Bum.

I struggled to make a dinner last night because our cupboard is so bare. I do a big food shop once every two weeks because i like such a big mix of food, but recently I've been doing a top up shop in the second week always costing more than it should! So this morning, i'm going to do a proper food shop and think more about the meals than the price. I had to pre warn Jared about the cost which he agreed too. This was the outcome; And it came to £126!! I can't believe it! Food is tooooo expensive. I'm dreading to think what the VAT increase is going to do in January?! Ethan was my helper today too, selecting out some bottles of wine; Hahahaha! He was very helpful. When we got in, it took ages to unpack and put away and he was a proper little helper. Until he found the yogurts and hid in the corner eating all 6 tubs. Monkey! I checked my facebook quickly and noticed Jenny, a lady who lives round the corner was desperate for a babysitter for her boys while she attended a hospital appointment within the next half hour. So for the next few hours Ethan had a playmate. He played well too, i love it when he behaves. We watched Monsters Inc together and i made some banana bread. I have never been to a hospital appointment and been seen there and then, poor Jenny was left sitting for over an hour before being seen. After she picked Finn up she invited me to go to Adventure land with her later on! I got on with some odd jobs of cleaning up and packing some ebay items before heading to adventure land for 2.30pm. I forgot it was half term so it was packed. I sat with Jenny and her two friends (they were very nice!) while Ethan played. One of them had just had a baby girl and she was tiny. The mum that is! It was like she hasn't been pregnant. I still feel nervous just letting Ethan play because of his previous track record but it was without incident. Yey. I left him play for a few hours while i chatted with Jen before having to go and get Jared. He had left his phone at home again so it was a case of guessing when he was coming. As we sat and waited, the effects of sitting still for just two minutes were having it's toll on Ethan; Nah night.

Our cross trainer is broken again (grrrr!) and Jared has had enough of getting it repaired so we opted for buying a new exercise bike from Argos. They seem to be selling like hot cakes at the moment so i reserved one on Sunday night and must get it by tonight. It's not bad either;


I picked it up while Jared waited in the car- it was so heavy. As i was setting it up later, an advert came on for a free gift card for any thing bought over £50 starting tomorrow. I was gutted! Stupid timing! I was tempted to take it back and buy something else tomorrow but it isn't worth the trouble. STUPID ARGOS!

Philly came for dinner while her family were in London - i did a curry with banana bread for pudding. I have just rushed all day today and feel exhausted. Jared wanted to show Philly the first episode of Fringe while i built the bike. Bed time couldn't come quick enough!

Onesie Time.

To make things eaiser for Jared this morning i was driving him directly to Cardiff. I don't mind doing it, it just means i'm not getting back into the house until 10.30am and usually Ethan and i haven't eaten breakfast. When we did get home and sorted out the house, i had a delivery from the postman. It was my onsie!;

I totally love it! I know i paid more money than if i went to Primark but they sell out so quickly, i don't want to travel there and find that their are non left. I love it, the only complaint is that they make them for mixed height so the crotch is a little low. If only i was another 3 inches taller! Haha. You can see in the picture that the house is a mess so i did have to clean up a bit. At 2.00pm the Relief Society in our ward were going to Garwnant, an outdoor forest play area. I was in two minds to go because i knew how much work i had to do in getting the house up to scratch but decided to go. I popped in to see Esme and Cassie (She was visiting!) to see if they were coming. Cassie is so tired from her little ones that she was in bed and Esme was heading out to do some jobs. I stayed for half hour just to catch up with Cass and went to Garwnant. There were quite a few members there - it was a fun few hours. We did the small walk and then went to the park to play. I couldn't get Ethan on the rope swing again - he only did it a few weeks ago! He enjoyed himself, bar the first half hour of him crying and screaming on the walk.

I made sure i got home in time to get dinner started before picking Jared up. For family night i did a little lesson on gratitude. Ethan makes me laugh with his attention span - ZERO! After that he went to bed, and Jared and i watched some more Fringe - The last epsisode in the season. We watched the first episode of the second season upstairs online. It's so addictive! Trip to Bristol!

Today Jared, Ethan and I are going to Yate Ward to hear Aunty Jan and Uncle Martin's leaving talk before they go to London Temple for 3 years. Or so i thought... Jared has an assignment due in tomorrow and didn't manage to complete it yesterday. Boohoooo. I'm so disappointed! So only Ethan and i are going while Jared goes to church and then finish his assignment at home. I dropped Jared off at church and i nipped in to see if Nursery was covered. Most of the leader's werent there so i was off the hook. Phew! Ethan and i set off on our journey to Yate. I only just got on the M4 when i caught Ethan like this;

It wasn't even half 10! He must be so tired. On the way the sky was so clear and the winter sun was lush;

His head lops to the side. He must wake up with a terrible crick in his neck!;

Ever since i was a kid and we lived in Pontypridd, getting on the bridge was so awesome. Even now, i'm in awe. Hahaha;

Whenever we saw this big bridge, we knew Aunty Jan's house wasn't far!;

I didn't feel it was appropriate to be snapping away at the family gathering, so i don't have any pictures to show. Plus i had Ethan and contend with too so i was running around after him most of the time! The talk's that Jan and Martin gave were lovely, i'm so glad that i came. It's just a shame Jared didn't come too. For food we had the classic Weir food- CHILLI! I flippin love it, it was so good i had 3 helpings of the stuff! It was lovely to see all the Lock's there, even Sezzie came. After food i pretty much had to leave so i said my goodbyes and went. I don't know what came over me on the way back, i felt so sleepy. So i took some random pictures. Haha! This is a little insight to how i think! So i had the classic car picture;

The fantastic Toll Bridge. Why the flip are we still paying for it? Every 3 months the price seem's to go up too. This time it cost me £5.50. Back in 2006 it was costing £4.30. Greedy Bums;

It takes just over an hour to get home so it wasn't too bad of a commute. When i got in, Jared and i sorted out our little disagreement this morning..hehe. He realised that he had made a booboo and won't do it again, especially when it gets in the way of family commitments. I desperately needed to take pictures of my hair for the buyer, so i nipped to Esme's so she could take them;

Poor Ellie was so sad - her toothies are coming through. I knew they were in as soon as i got out the car. I got to feed her her bottle which really took me back. It only seems like yesterday that Ethan was doing that. I reeeeally want another one. Pleeease!

I went back home and Jared didn't even realise i had gone out. Thankfully he was nearly done on his assignment. Just a little more work on the references which will be done tomorrow morning.
Ethan went to bed and Jared and i just spent the evening together watching some me Fringe. Season 1 is nearly complete!
