We are buying the KAYAK!

Today we are buying the Kayak! Well, Pauline and Peter are :) Jared left early this morning to get the roof bars fitted and i got the kids ready. They look pretty awesome! Not quite sure if £180 is a good price though...

We left for Cardiff not long after, getting kids ready on time is quite a challenge. We all drove down to up and under to get the stuff. Ethan got kitted out with a life jacket;

While Jared and Pauline tried to make some decisions on the paddle. Jared didn't like me taking photos i nthe shop so i didn't take any more :( He gets a bit embarrassed over stuff like this;

We seemed to have decended on the shop at a time when it was super busy! We did eventually purchase the kayak, and this is the moment that it was put on the car;

It's such a pretty boat! I took a video of how to attach it to the car too, just incase we forget! It's so strange driving home with a massive boat overhanging the front of car! And when you catch peoples eyes drifting over your car i do feel a little embarrassed too! HAha. We saw Eldon and Es, Geraint and Cheryl and Emma Garlick driving back up. Emma said she never notices anyone when driving, but definitely noticed us! Hahaha. We got some lunch at home - the excitement of Jared wanting get out on the water made things a little stressful. We did get to Pontiscill lake where the fun began! I helped him lift off the kayak, accidently swinging it the wrong way, twisting Jared's arm! Oppsie! He wasn't impressed!

We tried fitting the seats into the boat which proved a little more difficult than orginally expected. Ethan wanted to help too;

Into the water we go;

Ethan's funny trying to get him into the water. He won't want to get in but as soon as he saw us in it, he wants in! Although it looks alright, it was raining. We went out a little into the lake before Peter and Pauline had a turn;

Ethan got quite wet and wanted to strip off, so i took him back up to the car...
